Following a competative tender process, ARAMARK Property (formely Irish Estates Management Ltd) were appointed to manage The English Market in October 2007. Our successful management of the Market to date has led to a further extension of the management contract.
The Market was built in 1788, measuring approximately 1,500 sq m and is workplace to 44 stall holders.
ARAMARK Property are based on site and through daily interaction with the traders have built up a very strong relationship with each trader. Developing a strong working relationship with the traders is the key component for the smooth operation of the English Market. This is achieved by facilitating quarterly Tenant Meetings and monthly Committee Meetings.
Close liaison with the Client ensures that they are kept up to date with relevant issues. Our dedicated accounts team ensure that rent and service charges are collected in a timely fashion and full detailed acccounts are readily available to ensure complete transparency.
Tight procurement controls on services have resulted in reduced budget figures and improved levels of service. We have managed to reduce the largest cost for the Market, which is refuse removal, by over 45%. Constant monitoring and review of services has enabled us to improve and increase service levels at reduced costs.
We are also actively involved in the marketing and promotion of the English Market to increase its profile which has has further improved relations with the traders and the Client.
