Auditing

Conducting an environmental audit of your business processes is an excellent way to discover ways in which environmental performance can be improved and overall operating costs can be reduced. Even though environmental auditing as a stand-alone process is not required by law in order for a company to conduct business or to expand their business into new areas, conducting an environmental audit will help you comply with the regulations concerning the environment in your jurisdiction.

ARAMARK Environmental Services has a wealth of experience in auditing processes, including internal audits, pre-certification audits and/or gap analysis. Gap analysis is useful when determining whether or not your company meets the current standards for ISO 14001 certification. If you are not certified with the most current ISO 14001 level, our gap analysis tool can help you define what steps you need to take to obtain certification.

Those in upper level management need to know that environmental issues are well-managed, and our environmental auditing provides you with such assurance. Our environmental audit process provides a comprehensive, objective evaluation of a company’s overall environmental performance and determines whether or not standard operating procedures comply with the various laws and regulations in your country and/or city concerning the environment.

Therefore, an environmental audit is an effective tool on many levels. First, we can help you determine your current environmental performance. Secondly, we can confirm your legal compliance with various governmental regulations. Finally, conducting an environmental audit can be a proactive way for you to improve your environmental operations.

Our environmental auditing process allows for systematic identification and quantification of environmental risks, and subsequent prioritisation of areas where measures are needed to reduce these risks.

After we conduct thorough environmental auditing processes, we can also recommend an environmental improvement action plan to help you reduce your environmental footprint.

Ways you can improve your company’s environmental impact include:

  • Replacing outdated, inefficient equipment or machinery with newer, more energy-efficient models
  • Upgrading to renewable energy sources
  • Considering a recycling program, or increasing the percentage of material you already recycle
