ARAMARK Ireland scoops Best Catering Job Award for
Arthur’s Day Event
6th November 2009: The ARAMARK Ireland team at Dublin’s Guinness Storehouse has scooped the Best Catering Job award at the National Hospitality Awards 2009. The ARAMARK team was announced overall winner in the Best Catering Job category for the successful event held to commemorate Arthur’s Day on 24th September last.
The ARAMARK Ireland team at the Guinness Storehouse showcased an event to commemorate Guinness’ 250th Anniversary celebrations on Arthur’s Day. A team of ARAMARK staff worked at the event providing security, hosting, bar, waitress and chef services.
Organised by Hospitality Ireland, the National Hospitality Awards recognise excellence within the hospitality industry, rewarding venues and suppliers whose services have been outstanding. Applicants are judged across a wide range of criteria including excellence in food standards, customer service, culinary creativity and innovation. The National Hospitality Awards ceremony was held in Dublin’s Four Seasons Hotel recently.
Joan O’Shaughnessy, CEO of ARAMARK Ireland said, “I am delighted that the ARAMARK Ireland team at the Guinness Storehouse has been recognised with this award. During the event, 1,800 meals were served simultaneously and 14 bars around the entire building were supervised, organised and managed by ARAMARK professionals. All staff who took part in the event showed professionalism and dedication and I am very proud of everyone involved.”
